This is, I hope, the first of many Fisher strips created after the strip's departure from
The Globe and Mail. If I can I'll post 2 or 3 times a week at regular times. We'll see. Thanks again to all who wrote expressing the wish that Fisher could continue in some way. These new strips will also find their way into the Fisher archive at
philipstreet.com.
Fisher lives on! Glad to hear/see it.
ReplyDeleteHope Tom's wiggly tooth is purely hypothetical. His reappearance, however, is good (indeed great) news.
ReplyDeleteFisher's fans continue to petition the Globe at http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/bring-back-fisher/ and to tweet (though a little less plaintively today): #ReturnTomFisher.
I loved Fisher and his family, was really sorry they disappeared- keep writing them and I'll keep reading!!
ReplyDeleteIt would also be nice if you got paid for continuing to delight us, Philip. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteJim Muldowney
Thanks to all for your kind words. Jim, I am hoping to put more work online and perhaps attract advertisers. In the meantime please stay tuned.
ReplyDeleteCrowd funding via such sites as Kickstarter seems to work for comics projects, especially (and I believe Canadian tax laws make this obligatory) when the investor is wooed with merchandise (mugs and teeshirts) or original art.
ReplyDeleteI myself would love to have a teeshirt with Tom Fisher's face on it (cowlick and all).
